Handmade Porcelain Hanging Planter Pocket with embossed textures and transfer prints. Inspired by English Architectural styles and the intricate details and elements of buildings such as St Pancras Station and The Royal Opera House. The planters are water tight so real flower stems can be displayed in them H 16cm W 9cm Please note that these planters are all individually handmade so there may be slight differences in the finished size, shape and patterns shown but they will be very closely matched to your chosen design.
Join ceramic designer Alex Allday in her studio at Middleport Pottery for a 1 day workshop that will enable you to challenge your creativity in a fun and stimulating environment and equip you with a variety of different skills and techniques within ceramics and surface design. During the 1st half of the day you will learn the process of slip casting using plaster moulds to cast your own tealight/ pot in Porcelain clay. For the second half you will be shown a variety of surface decoration techniques and processes to then put in to practice and apply to each of your slip casted pots. At the end of the session you’ll be shown how to fettle and clean up your finished pots ready to be fired. Saturday 24th May 10am - 4pm Max 5 people (Includes all materials and firing) Lunch isn’t provided but there is a cafe on site or you’re more than welcome to bring your own.
